Terms of Use

• The Service includes free brewing tools and an optional paid subscription, kissaten premium.
• You may use the core Application without creating a kissaten account.
• Optional accounts provide private online backup and sync. Optional public profiles create a shareable page on kissaten.club.
• You are responsible for your use of the Service and for complying with applicable law.
• Brewing results vary with coffee, grinder, water, equipment, and technique. The Service does not guarantee a particular result.

Accounts are optional and use Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining control of your Apple account and device.

Creating a public profile makes your profile and designated public coffee information available at a shareable web address. Public information can be viewed, shared, indexed, cached, or copied by others. You can make your profile private or delete your account from the Application, but we cannot control copies already made by other people or services.

Usernames are provided on a first-come basis. We may refuse, rename, or remove a username that is misleading, reserved, unlawful, impersonates another person or organization, or violates these Terms.

You retain ownership of the notes, photos, profile information, recipes, coffee information, and other content you create or upload (“User Content”).

You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical formatting, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the features you use. For public User Content, this license also allows us to make that content available through your public page.

The public-display part of this license ends when the relevant content is made private or removed. The storage and processing part continues while you keep the content in your account and ends when it is deleted, subject to reasonable technical delays, temporary backups, copies outside our control, and any retention required by law.

You represent that:

• You own your User Content or have permission to use it
• Publishing it does not violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, or other rights
• Your User Content and conduct comply with these Terms

You may not use the Service to create, publish, or distribute:

• Illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful content
• Harassment, threats, hate speech, bullying, or content that promotes violence or discrimination
• Sexually explicit, exploitative, or otherwise obscene content
• Content that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights
• Another person’s sensitive or personal information without authorization
• Spam, impersonation, malware, or attempts to disrupt the Service

You may not probe, scrape, reverse engineer, bypass access controls, or use the Service in a way that interferes with its operation or another person’s use.

Public User Content is not necessarily reviewed before publication. We may review reports and public content, remove or hide content, restrict public visibility, reserve a username, or suspend or terminate an account when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, creates risk, or is required by law.

To report a public profile, image, or coffee page, email hi@azizfirat.com with the page address and reason for the report. We will review reports and respond or act as appropriate. Misuse of the reporting process may itself violate these Terms.

Content kept only on your device or in your personal iCloud is not public. If you create an account, private account content is processed through our service providers to provide backup and synchronization. We may also process content when the Application generates a coffee story or when you deliberately use an AI-assisted import, recipe, support, or other online feature.

You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of important content. Sync and backup features reduce the risk of loss but are not a guarantee against every technical failure.

Kissaten uses AI to generate an educational coffee story when an eligible coffee has enough reviewed information. This can happen automatically when you open the coffee detail and no story exists. Other AI-assisted features, including image or URL imports and recipe generation, run only when you choose them.

• Do not replace your judgment or professional advice

You must review results before relying on or publishing them. When importing from a URL or third-party source, you are responsible for having the right to use the imported material.

Authentication, AI, cloud, payment, and imported-web features depend on third-party services. Their availability, results, and handling of information are also governed by their applicable terms and policies.

• Recipes, images, text, software, design, branding, and other non-user content provided through the Service belong to the Service Provider or the relevant licensors.
• You may use this content for personal, non-commercial use through the Service.
• You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or create a competing service from it without permission or another legal right to do so.

kissaten premium includes personalized AI recipes, recipe refinement, and recipe imports from links or images. A public profile or Sign in with Apple account is not required to subscribe. Free features include selected brewing recipes, manual recipe entry, and using your saved recipes and brewing tools.

Monthly and annual plans renew automatically unless canceled. The price, billing period, and any applicable offer are shown before you confirm a purchase. Apple processes payment through your App Store account; we do not receive your complete payment card information.

You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple subscription settings. Cancel before the renewal date shown there to stop the next renewal. After cancellation, Premium normally remains available until the end of the paid period. You can restore an eligible purchase in the Application using the App Store account that made it.

Premium does not have a monthly AI action allowance. Daily request, security, and cost safeguards still apply, and online features depend on service availability. These safeguards can temporarily limit new requests; they do not remove recipes you have already saved.

Deleting the Application or your kissaten account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Your saved recipes and free brewing tools remain available when Premium ends. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled through Apple, subject to its policies and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.

• The Application includes an optional tip jar.
• Tips are voluntary and processed by Apple through In-App Purchase.
• The Service Provider does not receive or store your complete payment card information.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Deleting the Application does not by itself delete a kissaten account.

You can delete your account inside the Application. This removes the online account, private online backup, public profile, and uploaded account media. Your local coffee data remains on your device and can return to personal iCloud sync. The Application keeps a separate private subscription identity so you can continue using an eligible Premium purchase without a public profile. Subscription and usage records needed for that access remain; previous AI request and recovery records associated with the deleted account are removed.

We may suspend or terminate access, remove public content, or take reasonable protective action if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create risk for the Service or others, or if action is required by law.

We work to keep the Service available, but features may be updated, interrupted, limited, or discontinued. We do not promise that the Service will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or third-party service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under applicable law.

You must be at least 13 to create an account or public profile. If the law where you live requires parental or guardian consent at a higher age, you may use those features only with that consent.

If you obtained the Application through Apple, your use is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms, including the Apple standard End User License Agreement. Apple is not responsible for the Service or User Content.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.
