The Origin
This delightful coffee hails from the Cajamarca region of Peru, known for its rich volcanic soil and high altitude, which enhances the beans' sweetness and complexity. At 2100 meters above sea level, the cool temperatures allow the coffee cherries to mature slowly, developing vibrant flavors.
Yellow Caturra
We're working with the Yellow Caturra variety here, a mutation of the Bourbon coffee plant. It’s prized for its bright acidity and sweet profile, showcasing fruit-forward notes and a lively character that really sets it apart from other varieties.
Tasting Notes
In your cup, you'll discover the delightful sweetness of sponge toffee right at the forefront, followed by the juicy essence of canned pear, and a fun hint of ground cherry that adds a playful twist. These flavors dance together beautifully, creating a balanced and enjoyable experience.
